Wall & Mural Stencils

Stencils Question And Answer

I would like to find a machine where I can create stencils to cut craft foam?

This is my situation. I've created several foam decorations and would like to sell them for children to create them but tracing and cutting by hand takes to long. I need a machine that allows me to use my own dies and cuts them for me.

your best bet would be a ac moore or a micheals and other craft stores like that. hope this helps if not sorry.
I am not sure how much you want to spend but my favorite thing to cut foam is the sizzix machine. It is now only about $30 as they have a new and improved version, but you can buy tons of different dies with different shapes to cut. They can be expensive though. But I highly recommend them and they last forever! I use them for scrapbooking, my son's craft projects, notecards, tags for presents and place setting cards. Hope this helps!
The Sizzix machine is suitable for cutting foam. This was the original die cutting machine that came out, but there have been several new machines since, some of which cut foam and some of which are only suitable for paper or lightweight card. Last time I went to Hobbycraft the Sizzix machines were on sale for half price, as I think they are being discontinued. I have a machine called Quik-kutz, but you cant cut foam with that one. Which area are you from? There are loads of UK websites that do die cut machines.
Hello We manufacture the Klic-N-Kut computer diecutter. I am not sure how thick of foam you would like to cut however we have a special Blade technology that will allow to cut 3mm a little less than 1/8" . We developed this for the RC Aircraft industry and it is being used for thick chipboard, funfoam and xps rigid foam.We manufucture a few different size machines. Check them out at www.scrapbookdiecutter.com Gary
Can someone please give me a little more detail on this question? It sort of sounds like what the answer I'm looking for. I am totally new to this crafting stuff. I'm making wooden signs (decorative - interior) and handpainting phrases takes FOREVER and doesn't look as nice as stencils, but I hate buying each individual stencil I want. I'd like to make some plastic stencils that I didn't have to cut out with an exacto knife. I'd like to customize phrases and fonts. Is that what one of these machines can do? I don't even know what the machine I would like is called. THANKS!!!!
