What can I say? It doesn't matter how you spell it a fairy is a faerie is a faery. Or if you've got more than one at the bottom of your garden, you'll have fairies, faeries and fayries.

However it's spelt they are lovely to look at and little girls adore them. Boys, on the other hand think there're for sissys and wouldn't sleep in the same room with them.

For the little lads we have instead, suns, moons and planets with lots and lots and lots of stars, preferably on the ceiling in luminous paint.

The grown ups in this audience might prefer to have an angel, cupids or cherubs in their rooms.

But for those of us that never grew up, we'll always choose the most beautiful Faeries to adorn our walls.
